Type Alias: GeovisWorkspaceSidebarChoiceLayout

GeovisWorkspaceSidebarChoiceLayout = "cards" | "list" | { columns: number; kind: "grid"; }

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:729

How a GeovisWorkspaceSidebarChoiceSetting lays its options out.

  • 'cards' — side by side, each with its glyph: a few short alternatives read at a glance, like 2D / 3D or a camera pitch.
  • 'list' — one row each, top to bottom, with its icon, label, sublabel and count, and a check on the chosen one when it has no count: alternatives whose names and ranges need the width, like the dataset an extrusion's height reads, or the geographic level of a map.
  • { kind: 'grid', columns } — compact buttons in equal columns, the label on the left and a check on the chosen one: short labels read as a set, like age bands. columns is floored and clamped to at least 1.

The grid is an object, as the chips' is, so columns exists only where it means something; the two strings stay strings, so existing configs keep working.
