Interface: GeovisWorkspaceSidebarChoiceSetting

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:751

A choice among a few named alternatives — exactly one of them always chosen — laid out side by side as cards (2D / 3D, a camera pitch of 30° / 45° / 60°), as a list of rows, or as a grid of compact buttons.

Its own control rather than a slider with stops: the options are read at a glance, all of them on screen at once, and each can carry its own drawing and its own availability gate.

It renders in a settings block and in a filters block alike: a required single choice is the same control wherever it sits — the camera's view mode in the settings, the geographic level or the age band in the filters.

Properties

defaultValue?

optional defaultValue?: string

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:758

Option chosen on first render. Defaults to the first option.

glyphColors?

optional glyphColors?: string[]

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:763

Colors of the option glyphs' cells, lightest first — typically the active color ramp, so the drawing previews the map. Defaults to the primary tint.

kind

kind: "choice"

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:752

layout?

optional layout?: GeovisWorkspaceSidebarChoiceLayout

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:774

How the options are laid out (see GeovisWorkspaceSidebarChoiceLayout). Defaults to 'cards'.

A list declaring a single option has nothing to choose, so it renders that option as a read-only card rather than a one-row radio group — the reader still sees what the value stands for. The rule counts declared options, not available ones: a list whose other rows are gated shut keeps its shape, so it does not change form whenever a gate moves.

menuId: string

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:754

Menu id the chosen option's value is reported under.

options

options: GeovisWorkspaceSidebarChoiceOption[]

Defined in: context/GeovisWorkspaceContext.ts:756

The options, in the order they are rendered, left to right.
